Into the trees...

This is my youngest son, Kai, walking ahead into the trees around Derwentwater, Keswick, in August this year. We'd just climbed Catbells and were making our way back to the car along the side of the lake - a lovely walk.

I like the perspective of the path disappearing into the trees, and the scale provided by Kai walking alone amidst them.

In Lightroom, I brought highlights right down to take the sunlight's glare off the tree trunks.
