I took this one on the way up Latrigg, Keswick, in August this year. I nearly didn't take my camera as the day started out with such a flat, grey sky. Then the sun broke through the clouds in the distance and lit up the valley and group of fells behind Cat Bells. To me, the fells in the background and the cloud-streaked sky look like a painting superimposed behind the more photographic clarity of the trees.
I cropped the image and reduced highlights a little post-production.
I select my favourite images from my walks and travels (photographed with my Nikon D3200) and post them here. I also add any notes of interest about the making of each image (either at the time or afterwards on the computer). I hope you enjoy looking at my photos and would love to see your comments. If you like a photo, please also share it via your social media using the buttons below each picture...thank you!
