Autumn in the Luddenden valley.

This is one of my dad's favourite local views. I took the photo intentionally to frame and give to him as a birthday present. I chose an early morning in autumn (October 2015) to get the best light and colours - it was just before 9am when the shadow line from the hill I was standing on moved off the bottom of the shot, allowing me to get the composition I wanted. This image is made from a merge of 2 landscape images.

Camera/lens settings: ISO 100, f/11, 1/50s, 48mm, tripod.

  1. Reminds me I should visit the valley again soon. A great advert for West Yorks. Well done!
