I took this on our August holiday to Keswick this year. On the far right bank of the river you can just see our holiday home - a cabin at Low Briery Holiday Park (what a location - much recommended!). The mountain in the background, Blencathra, is my favourite climb in the Lake District, although I haven't done it for years. There's a fantastic ridge at the top called Sharp Edge. The mountain is also known as Saddleback - you can see the dip in the summit that gives it that name in this picture.
I reduced exposure in the sky with a graduated filter to balance it out, then increased overall exposure slightly.
I select my favourite images from my walks and travels (photographed with my Nikon D3200) and post them here. I also add any notes of interest about the making of each image (either at the time or afterwards on the computer). I hope you enjoy looking at my photos and would love to see your comments. If you like a photo, please also share it via your social media using the buttons below each picture...thank you!
