This is another one of the set I took at Hardcastle Crags in April 2013 for the final part of my Photography Btec. I love how the sun lights the fern up and also lights up a patch of the fallen leaves in the background. The delicate shapes of the tips of the fern fronds are emphasised by the contrast against the dark tree trunk.
In Lightroom I used a graduated filter to bring down exposure and highlights in the sky between the trees.
I select my favourite images from my walks and travels (photographed with my Nikon D3200) and post them here. I also add any notes of interest about the making of each image (either at the time or afterwards on the computer). I hope you enjoy looking at my photos and would love to see your comments.
