White cockerpoo dog with her teddy.

This is Kizzy, our 2 year-old cockerpoo, photographed last week just before heading to the groomers for a short back and sides! She looks like butter wouldn't melt...believe me, it would!!!

Kizzy watching a butterfly

This is my cockerpoo, Kizzy, 'helping' me with my macro photography last summer! I'd sit quietly and patiently waiting for the butterfly to land, then Kizzy would decide to go in for a closer look. Sometimes she'd frighten it away, but every now and then I got a cute shot like this (and when I got really lucky, it'd be in focus!).

Camera/lens settings: ISO 100, f/9, 1/400s, 90mm, hand held

Dog drinking from rock pool

This is my black cockerpoo, Kipper, taking a break from running around and having a (very salty!) drink from a rock pool on the beach at Seahouses, Northumberland. You can seen the harbour wall in the distance.

I converted the raw file to black and white in Lightroom and reduced the exposure in the sky with the graduated filter tool.

White cockerpoo dog

This is my puppy, Kizzy - around 9 months old when this was taken this summer. She's such a poser - very easy to photograph!

Just a conversion to black and white from the original shot.

Black cockerpoo dog

I decided to include my animal photos in my blog. This one is of Kipper, my 3-year-old black cockerpoo. It's really hard to get good photos of him (and black dogs in general, I think) - the detail of his fur often gets lost in the shadows. Outdoor lighting definitely gives better results than indoor.

I converted this to monochrome to take away the distracting green grass behind him, and cropped it slightly.
